Show Me The Body Announces New Album Dog Whistle and Shares New Video for “Camp Orchestra”

Show Me The Body, the hardcore punk band from New York are set to release a new album, Dog Whistle on March 29 via Loma Vista Recordings. In a statement, the band said, “This album is personal. It is about and for the disenfranchised youth of this city, of this country, and of this earth. It is for our community and anyone who may find shelter within it.”

The band also just released a new video for “Camp Orchestra” which is off the new album. The video starts out focused on black asphalt on a street at night. The emphasis morphs into various shoes and footsteps. The song starts off in a dark, downtrodden manner with an emphasis on heavy cords. Then a light instrumental blends in for over two minutes mixing the sounds together without any vocals. Then a heavy metal thrashes in with hard vocals and guitar. It’s a great sound which quickly ramps up before drums kick in and then off to the races.

The video was inspired by a recent tour stop in Poland and visit to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum, the song’s title is a reference to the Jewish orchestra groups that were formed in concentration camps during World War II and the video is inspired by the rooms filled with discarded shoes at Auschwitz.

Show Me The Body consists of Julian Cashwan Pratt (banjo and vocals), Harlan Steed (bass), and Noah Cohen-Corbett (drums). Show Me The Body pushes expectations of what a hardcore band can be. Dog Whistle was produced by Chris Coady, Show Me The Body, and Gabriel Millman (original drummer and current in-house producer). The album was written in Long Island City, Queens and recorded in Los Angeles, California in the summer of 2018.

Kelly Tucker: Originally from Los Angeles, I grew up listening to all types of music. My first concert was Aerosmith with Skid Row, then moved on to concerts with Metallica, Lollapalooza, Guns N’ Roses, Soundgarden and more. One of my favorite shows of all time was when I was in college and someone took me to see the Allman Brothers play. I also scalped a ticket to see Pearl Jam and the amazing Eddie Vedder sing his heart out. My professional career started in 2000 at Nielsen Business Media where I was an assistant in a sales department and later got promoted to advertising account executive. When the recession hit in 2008 and the magazine was sold, I took a job at a call center and later got promoted to assistant to the CEO and COO of a global company. In 2017, I took a position at a pharmaceutical agency, and now currently responsible for coordinating meeting logistics for physicians and pharma reps throughout the United States. In my spare time, I work at Peace4Kids a non-profit in South Los Angeles and write screenplays in hopes to make a breakthrough.
