The Avett Brothers Searches For A Moment In New Song “Neapolitan Sky”

The Avett Brothers

The Avett Brothers have released their newest single, “Neapolitan Sky.” The track follows up two other singles that the group had released at the end of 2018, titled “Trouble Letting Go” and “Roses and Sacrifice.” The group, which first gained fame from its major label debut, I And Love And You, in 2009, has made country and folk music together for nearly two decades. Some of the bands largest songs come from I And Love And You, including the album’s title track and the song “Head Full Of Doubt/Road Full Of Promise.” Since then, the group has released multiple full length projects; most recently putting out True Sadness in 2016.

Since True Sadness, the group has remained relatively quiet in terms of new releases, but the recent group of releases has fans waiting for a new album in 2019. The first of the singles was the track “Roses and Sacrifice,” which was officially released in November of last year. Prior to that, the song had been teased in a live performance. “Trouble Letting Go” was released later in 2018, rounding out the year for the band. “Neapolitan Sky” marked the beginning of 2019 for the group, a year in which The Avett Brothers are also set to go on a major tour. The tour will begin in early March and run all the through the end of September; bringing the group all across the United States. The full list of dates for the band’s summer tour can be found below.
