Julia Holter Scores New British Comedy Series Pure

Julia Holter has scored a new British comedy show called “Pure.” The new TV show premiered on Channel 4 earlier this week. According to Pitchfork, the network’s describes the show as a “comedy-drama series about 24-year-old Marnie who is plagued by disturbing sexual thoughts.” Holter announced the news via Twitter and revealed that the series is “a wild, moving story and incredible actors.” Check out a trailer of the show below.

Holter recently released her latest single and video for “Whether” which features film and/or photo reels. The song is included on her recently released high-fidelity ranked album Aviary, with mxdwn calling it “an atmospheric adventure.” Holter will also be hitting the road in support of the latest effort. The tour will kick off  February 19th at the U Street Music Hall in Washington DC and will make its way to Philadelphia, Boston, Toronto, Chicago, and Seattle before concluding in Los Angeles, CA March 9yh.
