Emma Ruth Rundle has announced new tour dates for the spring with Thou. It is set to kick off March 24th in Nashville, TN and will visit other cities in the U.S. including Milwaukee, Chicago, Detroit, Boston, and Brooklyn. The tour will also see collaborative sets with Thou and Rundle on select dates. According to The PRP, fellow musicians, Screaming Females and MJ Guider will also be joining the tour on select dates. Rundle’s last music release was her critically-acclaimed, high-fidelity ranked album On Dark Horses in September. The album sent fans through a journey of Rundle’s life struggles, expressing her emotions through those moments.
Fellow tour mates Thou recently covered Alice In Chains’ song “Brother” at the 1-2-3-4 Go! Records in Oakland, CA. The cover still provides the sound that everyone knows and loves from Alice in Chains, but also adds the style of Thou’s heavy metal sound. Thou also released their latest album Magus in Septemeber of last year, which has been described having an old school rhythm with new school screams, blending slow tempos with screaming vocals quite well.
UPDATE (02/06): Rundle has announced a second North American leg to her spring 2019 tour. The new batch of tour dates will begin May 15th in Detroit, MI and will head west including Phoenix, Los Angeles, and Seattle. It will then wrap up on June 15th in Chicago, IL. Japanese post-metal group MONO will be joining Rundle on the second leg. See the newly announced dates below.
