Scars on Broadway Announces Spring 2019 Tour Dates

Scars on Broadway are heading west. The rock band has announced a string of new West Coast tour dates. The new set of dates will kick off March 3rd at The Observatory in San Diego, CA. It will then make its way to Phoenix, San Francisco, Santa Ana, and lastly Los Angeles, CA at The Wiltern. The dates are in support of the band’s latest effort Dictator, released this past July. Tickets are on sale now, with fans being able to purchase here. See the tour dates below provided by The PRP.

Scars on Broadway is also known as Daron Malakian and Scars On Broadway, with Malakian known as a member of System of a Down. While the band has announced that new music will not be coming anytime soon, Malakian did recently sat down with Mxdwn, discussing the rift between the bandmates making another record. “We just don’t agree on how to make an album at this point. Everybody has gone a different way. It may be two of us agree, three of us disagree, one of us may not, or two of us agree on going, two of the other people may not. It’s tough. It’s gotten tough for us to get on the same page when it comes to making the album. At this point, I’m done trying to push making an album, and that’s very sad.”

In the same interview, he also talks about his Dictator, with the song “Lives” discussing the survivors of the Armenian Genocide. “The dance and the festive feeling to it is more about raising morale and race pride in people who survived the genocide. We usually focus on the people who died during the Holocaust or the genocide or any kind of atrocity like that.”
