Bottlerock Announces 2019 Lineup Including Jenny Lewis, Big Boi and Bishop Briggs

The Napa Valley festival BottleRock that has previously hosted Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars and the Foo Fighters as headliners for the event has just announced the 2019 lineup for this year’s spring event. This will be the Napa festival’s seventh year hosting BottleRock, which favors a variety of alternative genres.

The 3-day festival will begin on Friday, May 24 and last until Sunday, May 26th. This year the festival includes an abundance of distinguishable hip-hop artists, along with the blend of other genres. Imagine Dragons, Neil Young + Promise of the Real and Mumford & Sons are scheduled to be the headliners for the three nights, along with performances by Logic, OneRepublic, Jenny Lewis, Pharrell Williams, Marian Hall, Big Boi, Bishop Briggs and many more.

The folk-rock group known as Mumford & Sons have been keeping themselves busy as of lately. In November 2018, the band released their fourth-studio album Delta under the Glassnote Records label. One of the songs featured on the album includes their single “Guiding Light,” which serves fans with acoustic tunes. Alongside the album, the band also announced 60-date worldwide arena tour that began in November and will follow through until May of this year. The band will only have a five-day break until they set the stage at BottleRock, but without a doubt, they’ll still give their fans all their energy.

The former Rilo Kiley frontwoman turn indie-rockstar Jenny Lewis has also been teasing fans with announcements of new album this spring and a tour to promote it. The forthcoming album On The Line will be a follow up to her 2014 critically acclaimed album, The Voyager. Although a set release date or tracklist is made publically available, the artist did release information that high-profile artists like Beck, Jim Kentler, and Ryan Adams will be apart of the album.

British musician and singer-songwriter Bishop Briggs has also made strides in the past year with releasing her debut album Church of Scars in April, and a music video for her new single “Baby.” Will she have more music to bring to the table come her performance? Only time will tell.

This festival has been easily recognized as one of the premier food and wine-oriented festival on the West Coast, attracting more and more attendees each year. 3-day tickets for the event go on sale on January 8th at 10am PST, and 1-day tickets go on sale on January 10th at 10am PST as well. I want to take my writing and report on stories within the LGBTQ+ and Latinx community. In terms of music, play me a smooth jazz tune, an upbeat pop song, or an unheard indie artist and I'm sure I'll become infatuated by the music. I am always here to share someone else's story, to uplift a voice in any community.
