Mary Timony, Alec MacKaye and More Form New Punk Band Hammered Hulls

Punk Rock musicians Mary Timony and Alec MacKaye have come together with a few other artists to form a new band known as Hammered Hulls. The group, which was created only a few months ago, has only performed live on a handful of occasions, but has plans for a series of shows at the beginning of 2019. As of now, the band has yet to release any recorded material; this means that the only way to hear them perform is through a recording of one of their few live shows.

One of Hammered Hulls most recent shows took place on December 19th at the Black Cat in Washington, DC. The group performed a few of their original songs, which they have been quickly making since the decision was made by the band members for Hammered Hulls to perform together. Each of the members of the group come from backgrounds in the punk music scene, having come from previous bands and projects before coming together for their newest one. This gives them an edge over many newer punk bands, as they have already created fan bases and a history of releasing quality music.

Hammered Hulls is currently set to do a series of shows in the middle of January 2019. This will give fans a chance to hear their newer music, as they have been continually creating new material over the course of the last several months. The list of Hammered Hulls upcoming January shows can be found below, along with a recording of the band performing at the Black Cat in September.
