Anderson .Paak Announces Winter 2019 Tour Dates

Rapper Anderson .Paak has announced the dates for his Winter tour in support of his newest album, Oxnard. The album, which was released in November, was the Los Angeles based rapper’s third solo album and was produced in part by the globally known Dr. Dre. Anderson .Paak is known in the hip-hop community for his funky production and soulful vocals. His 2016 album Malibu was the epitome of this, with the songs “The Bird” and “Come Down” stealing the show. More recently, Anderson .Paak has had success with his single “Bubblin,” even being nominated for a grammy for the track. 2018 has been a huge year for the rapper and his upcoming tour, which starts in February 2019, is sure to be the beginning of another successful year.

Anderson .Paak is one of the most unique rappers in the business today and has proven so yet again with Oxnard. The album was preceded by the singles “Who R U?” and “Tints,” both of which showcased the powerful influence Los Angeles’ musical history has had on .Paak. With production from one of the most famous Los Angeles rappers and producers, Dr. Dre, the album as a whole feels as Californian as one can get. Oxnard also had features from some of West coast hip-hops largest names, including Kendrick Lamar and Snoop Dogg. Lamar, who was featured on the album’s first single “Tints,” has based much of his career on his hometown of Compton, similarly to the emphasis Anderson .Paak places on Los Angeles in his music. The song “Mansa Musa” was a highlight of the album and featured Dr. Dre himself; it was powered by a strong synthetic bass and colorful production all around. All in all, Oxnard is one of Anderson .Paak’s best musical project yet and he continues to share his unique take on hip-hop music with his fans.
