Lords of Acid Announces Pretty In Kink Spring 2019 Tour Dates

Recently revitalized electronic group, Lords of Acid, has announced the dates for their upcoming Pretty In Kink tour. Founded in the 1990s, Lords of Acid has had a large roster of members on their various projects and a discography spanning from their conception up until 2018. The group’s most recent album, Pretty In Kink, was released in June of this year and contained some of their most electrifying content. Lords of Acid’s new tour will take place in spring 2019 and is in support of this release.

After a series of albums in the 90s, the group was put on hiatus for most of the early 200s. It was not until 2011, with the release of the EP Little Mighty Rabbit, that they began to release music again. Following that they released Deep Chills in 2012 and Smoking Hot in 2016. The main mind behind the group is electronic musician, Praga Khan. Khan, whose real name is Maurice Engelen, is a well-known Belgian artist who has led the band since its creation. He has overseen the growth of Lords of Acid throughout its various lineup changes and transitions over its lifetime. Praga Khan is the main creative voice in the band and has been making electronic music since the late 1980s. During Lords of Acid’s hiatus, Khan kept himself busy with various solo projects and released several albums.

Lords of Acid’s newest album, Pretty in Kink, brought fans the eccentric lyricism and intense instrumentals that fans of the group have come to love. Most of the songs take typically taboo topics and bring them into the forefront of the creative process. The lyrics in nearly every song relate to sex and drugs in the most outrageous ways possible. These absurd vocals are accompanied by powerful rock and electronic production that make the tracks sound like a fever dream in the best way possible. Some of the best examples of this are found in the tracks “Break Me” and “Like Pablo Escobar.” Their new tour in support of the album begins in February 2019 and will run until the end of March. It will also feature performances from a variety of special guests including Orgy, Genitorturers and Gabriel and The Apocalypse. The full list of tour dates can be found below.
