Lighting up Chicago in 2019, Riot Fest is celebrating their 15th anniversary and have a pleasant surprise for fans that were in attendance of the 2018 Riot Fest. Blink-182 have been confirmed as one of the headliners for the 2019 lineup of the festival. After missing out on the 2018 Riot Fest due to medical issues pertaining to Travis Barker, the band’s drummer, Blink-182 fans are in for a treat as the band is now one of the officially revealed artists off of the eclectic and still not completely revealed 2019 lineup. Loudwire’s coverage of the announcement also goes in depth regarding the band’s cancellation of their 2018 appearance. Modern day rock heroes Weezer filled in for Blink-182 in the previous Riot Fest and also payed homage to the original slot holders through their rendition of “All The Small Things.”
The Riot Fest has been host to many memorable events including the reunion of The Misfits and a performance of Jawbreaker for starters. The multi-day festival is a one stop shop for everything rock, punk, alternative and hip-hop.
