Malik Yusef’s 808s and Heartbreak Anniversary Tour Won’t Include Kanye West, Will Instead Feature Singers From Each City

To commemorate the decade-long existence of Kanye West‘s 808s & Heartbreak, producer Malik Yusef-who has songwriting and co-producing credits on the EP-has announced an anniversary tour featuring different performers at each stop, according to Pitchfork. Kanye himself will not perform, but Yusef confirmed Kanye signed off on the tour.

“I don’t do anything without Kanye’s blessing,” Yusef said in a statement to Pitchfork.

Yusef will sponsor the tour, as well as serving as the emcee. The tour will include 15 cities, and feature performances of each song on the album by local artists at each stop. Performers will be picked by a voting process, which has not been announced yet. The tour will kick off in Los Angeles and end in New York. While dates have not been announced yet, it is known that the tour will begin in 2019.
