Speedy Ortiz has released an awesome new video for their song “I’m Blessed” The claymation visual includes battles with coyotes, snakes, and queens of different entities. The video was directed and created by Hannah Darrah, which in a press release she stated“I was given an incredible amount of freedom and trust when making the music video for ‘I’m Blessed.’ The song already had so much creative imagery and Sadie, herself, was a great inspiration. She goes on to say“I hope viewers are able to appreciate the idea that we have the ability to summon different aspects of ourselves and we have the power to use those traits to save us from our own snakes and coyotes.”

The song is featured on the band’s latest album Twerp Verse, which mxdwn gave a High Fidelity ranking, saying that “Dupuis’ lyrical forcefulness matches the band’s momentous sound.” “I’m Blessed” is the fourth song released, following songs “Lucky 88, “Lean In New Suffer,” and “Villan.” Ortiz is also on the road continuing to support the critically acclaimed Twerp Verse, supporting Liz Phair. See the list of tour dates below.

Adult Swim recently premiered a new song from the band, titled DTMFA (which stands for Dump The Mother Fucker Already) showcasing the band’s unique and intriguing sounds. They have also released a cover of Liz Phair’s “Blood Keeper.” Lead singer  Sadie Dupuis just released a full-length collection of poetry entitled Mouthguard, out now on Gramma Press. Dupuis started writing these poems in 2011.
