Al Jourgensen Reveals Dates Are Set to Record Ministry’s New Album, Hints at New Lard Song with Jello Biafra and Hopes to Collaborate with Gary Numan

A new Ministry album is on the horizon. After previously revealing that the band will be releasing a Trump-influenced album to Billboard, the group is now set o start the recording process.  Frontman Al Jourgenesen was recently interviewed by Consequence of Sound revealing his New Year’s resolution, which is getting in the studio to record starting January 1st. In the interview, Jourgensen states “So when I go back, we’ll go right into production on a new Ministry record and just record for like the next six months, very similar to what we did for Rape And Honey, and just record a bunch.”

The band is currently on the road supporting their latest record, AmeriKKKant, released in March. See the rest of the tour dates below. In the same interview, Jourgensen mentions that the new record might not be released right away, focusing on other side projects including new song with Lard, and a collaboration with Gary Numan. According to the PRP, Jourgensen plans to resurrect in 2019 as he has also reconciled with Chris Connelly with the pair planning to work on new Revolting Cocks material in the new year as well. He says “That’s why I don’t know how long the Ministry album will take because we might get sidetracked, we might do side projects with Revolting Cocks or Lard. My neighbor right down the street is Gary Numan, so we may hook up together on some stuff. ”

Jourgensen also recently made amends with former bandmate Paul Barker, revealing in an interview that the two would be collaborating of new music, possibly with Ministry. “We’re actually talking about doing something in the very near future. So who knows what may pop up on the next Ministry album. That’s really gonna get the old school crowd going” Jourgensen said.
