Dropkick Murphys Announces Spring 2019 St Patrick’s Tour Dates

Boston Pride with the Dropkick Murphys

With St. Patrick Day only a few months away the Dropkick Murphys have announced the dates for their 2019 St. Patrick day tours. As in previous years, the tour will begin in February and will lead up to the band annual St. Patrick’s Day concert in Boston.

“Pack up the van (okay, okay, it’s a bus), we’re rolling again and looking forward to bringing the party to your town this February and March 2019.” Bassist and founder Ken Casey said, “It’s our favorite time of year to play for the best, most dedicated fans on Earth. God bless you all. We promise to leave it all on the stage again this time around!!!!”

Joining the band on their 22-concert tour will feature guest bands the Interrupters, The Devil Makes Three, Lenny Lashley’s Gang of One, Booze and Glory and Amigo the Devil as openers. The tour will alternate with guests performing different days on the tour.

The Interrupters are a Ska band out of Los Angeles. They released their latest single “She’s Kerosene” off their third album Fight the Good Fight. Joining them will be Lenny Lashley’s Gang of One. Like the Dropkick Murphy’s Lashley hails from Massachusetts and made his name in the punk band, Darkbuster. Openers also include Americana band The Devil Makes Three and Amigo the Devil, who is described as “Murderfolk.” A press release for the tour stated that more performers will be announced at a later date.

Aside from a list of talented performers the tour will have other attractions for guests. On March 16 during the Micky Ward – St. Patrick Day’s Blowout the band will perform two shows. One will be a matinee show and the other will be a special aftershow. The after show will include a boxing ring, a special electric show featuring guests and covers fan karaoke. Fans attending the full day event can attend the festival with food, beer, a bounce house and a dunk tank.

Tickets go on sale Friday, November 16 at 10 a.m. local time and can be purchased at  www.DropkickMurphys.com.
