Anderson .Paak Shares New Song “Who R U”

Anderson .Paak has released a brand new song, “Who R U” from his upcoming album Oxnard, set to be released on November 16th. “Who R U” is produced by Dr. Dre and shortly follows the groovy Kendrick Lamar collaboration “Tints” and his other groovy summer track “Bubblin” released earlier this year. Listen to the new song below.

.Paak recently released the video for “Tints,” featuring Lamar and a cameo by Dre. In the video, Lamar and .Paak appear as multiple personas. .Paak appears as a kidnapped man, father, dancing diner worker, and a murderer. Lamar is seen watching strippers at a strip club and sitting in his room with a grim reaper and his oxygen tank.

.Paaks new album Oxnard will follow his 2016 album “Malibu,” which received much critical acclaim. The new album will be under Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment record label and will be the last part of “his beach series.” Oxnard is being described as “sprawling psychedelic grooves and confident verses.” Dr. Dre was much involved with the new record, serving as a producer and will also feature rapper and producer Madlib, who has worked with DOOM, J Dilla, and Freddie Gibbs. .Paaks band, The Free Nationals will also be releasing an album with .Paak sometime this year.

He recently performed at the Mac Miller’s tribute concert that took place at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA on Halloween night. Other performers for the tribute show included Travis Scott, Chance the Rapper, SZA, Schoolboy Q, Miguel, and Thundercat to name a few.
