GQ Retracts Report of New Vampire Weekend After Reports of New 2019 Album

GQ retracts report of new Vampire Weekend after rumors of new 2019 release, according to Pitchfork. They originally reported that new music would be discussed at GQ Live 2018, during The Vampire Weekend Songbook with Ezra Koenig.

The band’s fourth has been rumored for quite some time, which Koenig confirmed was being mixed and mastered this summer. He even played few new songs from his phone.

GQ removed any referenced to Vampire Weekend’s new album from the announcement of their event. it had previously indicated that the album was due for release in 2019, but this was unconfirmed.

Koenig will be discussing the stories behind some of Vampire Weekend’s best songs. The event will be held Dec. 8 at 9 pm, and tickets can be purchased here.
