Porches, the project of synth-pop musician Aaron Maine, has announced a show at Baby’s All Right on November 7 in celebration of the venue’s fifth birthday. The show will now be the final stop for Porches on the band’s current US tour providing support for Girlpool. Porches has also played a Baby’s All Right fifth anniversary show with Girlpool on October 23. The band’s most recent LP, The House, dropped earlier this year. The album marks their third studio album, beginning with the 2013 debut, Slow Dance in the Cosmos, followed by their sophomore release, 2016’s Pool.
“I learned how valuable the spirit of the demos are,” said Maine about the new album. “This time I made a point of capturing a song the day it was conceived.” The album is conscious and minimalist yet honest and vulnerable. Maine explores themes from young love to saying goodbye to the past as he toes the line between light and dark. Maine builds on his past two albums with The House, producing a mature and unique sound.
