Manowar guitarist Karl Logan was arrested and charged with six counts of third-degree exploitation of a minor, according to The PRP. He was arrested in August, and has since posted bail.
The charges are a result of alleged possession of child pornography. The charge itself reads “a person commits the offense of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor if, knowing the character or content of the material, he possesses material that contains a visual representation of a minor engaging in sexual activity.”
He was arrested on Aug. 9 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and has since posted a $35,000 bond. Logan’s booking and arrest information can be found here.
Manowar is a metal band from Auburn, New York. They formed in 1980, and are currently in the middle of their farewell tour “The Final Battle.” What’s special about this tour is that the fans get to vote in their setlist. The band is set to release a new album in 2019, following their release of The Lord of Steel in 2012.
Manowar are currently on the road for their farewell tour, but commented on Logan’s charges earlier today. They said that their upcoming tour and new album will not be affected, and that since “Karl and his attorneys are dealing with these issues,” he will not be performing with the band.
