Metal band Soulfly has released a new album titled Ritual. Their eleventh studio album features guest appearances from Randy Blythe of Lamb of God and Ross Dolan of Immolation. Dolan appears on the track “Under Rapture”. To support the album, a lyric video for the track has been released, showcasing Dolan’s vocals.
Dolan says of the experience “It was really exciting for me to be part of new Soulfly album. Under Rapture is a crushing song and I was on board the second I heard it. It was truly an honor for me to have been part of this. I think it’s a sick song both musically and lyrically and I am really happy with the end result!”
Apparently a collaboration between Soulfly and Ross Dolan has been in the works for quite some time. “This collaboration started last February when we were invited out as support on the ‘Return to Roots’ tour which eventually led to Max (Cavalera) singing on the ‘Morbid Visions’ cover we did for the Death is Just the Beginning comp. As fans, having Max part of this made it really special and truly meant the world to us.”
Soulfly recently announced a Winter tour to support the new album as well. It is set to kick off on January 25th in Albuquerque, NM and will wrap up on February 26th in LA.
