Mumford & Sons have added a second Madison Square Garden show to their winter tour with Maggie Rogers. The band has a massive worldwide tour slated for the upcoming months, touring nearly consistently from November until May. The tour kicks off in Dublin on November 16 as the band heads off on a string of UK and Ireland tour dates before a quick set of US dates including the two shows at Madison Square Garden. Mumford & Sons will also visit Philadelphia, Boston, and Washington D.C. before going to Australia where they will also perform a special Gentlemen of the Road show in Auckland at The Outer Fields at Western Springs with special guests Leon Bridges, Michael Kiwanuka, and Sam Fender. A more extensive US tour will follow the Australian dates before finishing up with a round of dates in Europe.
Mumford & Sons are soon to release their fourth studio album, Delta, slated to release on November 16 (coinciding with the first stop of their tour). The album arrives three years after their last album, Wilder Mind, which debuted at number one on both the UK Albums Chart and the US Billboard 200. The band has had multiple hit singles throughout their career, including “I Will Wait,” “The Cave,” and their massive first single “Little Lion Man.” The band’s debut album, Sigh No More, is certified four-time Platinum in the UK and two-time Platinum in the US. Throughout their career, the band has embarked on worldwide tours and featured on countless festival bills, notably headlining festivals like Bonnaroo, Glastonbury, and Reading & Leeds. They’ve also founded their popular promotions company, Gentlemen of the Road, which is a label and organizer of a global series of Stopover Festivals. This series brings festival lineups to areas typically overlooked for live shows in an effort to provide tourism and funding to these areas.
