Courtney Love Performed “Celebrity Skin” with 1,500 Musicians Live in Florence, Italy

In July, Courtney Love took part in a performance in Florence, Italy at the Artemio Franchi Stadium. Love was joined by the 1,500 members of the Rockin’1000 as she performed the song “Celebrity Skin,” which can be heard below. The 1,500 that gathered contributed drums, guitars, and backed the vocals as Love led the group through the song. The performance was part of a charity event for Italian non-profit groups Only the Brave Foundation and the San Patrignano youth recovery community.

The song that was performed, “Celebrity Skin,” originates from Courtney Love’s band, Hole. The song was featured on the album Celebrity Skin which was released in September of 1998.

Since her July performance, Love has also appeared performing alongside Billy Corgan and the Smashing Pumpkins at performance in August. Together they performed “Celebrity Skin” and “Malibu.” Along with her performances, Love has also unveiled a clothing line that was inspired by her book, Dirty Blonde: The Diaries of Courtney Love. The news of Love does not stop there though, as she is set to receive a tribute at Basilica Hudson’s biennial Pioneering People fundraiser towards the end of the month. The tribute will be directed by Love’s former bandmate Melissa Auf der Maur and will include a star-studded lineup.
