David Lynch’s Festival of Disruption Los Angeles to Feature Twin Peaks Virtual Reality Game

David Lynch’s Festival of Disruption in Los Angeles is this weekend, with musical performances from RZA, Mercury Rev, Mike Patton and DJ Qbert, Grace Jones, Tokimonsta and more. Of course, this festival is about much more than just music, which makes sense as Lynch is known for his work in many different disciplines, of course film as well as visual art.

Now you can count virtual reality as another layer of this intriguing festival. Festival of Disruption has announced, in collaboration with Showtime (the network behind the Twin Peaks reboot) and Collider Games, a special Twin Peaks virtual reality game. This game will allow players to fully immerse themselves and explore the depths of Lynch’s iconic television mystery.

The game features some of the most important and memorable moments from both the original television series as well as the limited television series that aired on Showtime in 2017. According to a press release, the game will take players on Agent Dale Cooper’s journey from Glastonbury Grove to the bizarre and surrealist Red Room, all using sounds and visuals taken directly from the TV program.

If you cannot make it out to the Festival of Disruption this weekend (10/13-10/14), you will still be able to play this VR game in the near future. The game is currently being developed for HTC and Oculus Rift, meaning you’ll be able to fully immerse yourself in the Twin Peaks universe right from your own device.
