Metalcore veterans The Devil Wears Prada have added a second leg of tour dates to their With Roots Above And Branches Below 10 year anniversary tour which kicked off the first leg on September 27 in Seattle and finishes on October 12 in Springfield, Missouri. The newly announced second leg will start on November 23 in Chicago and culminate on December 16 in Columbus, Ohio. The additional tour dates include a stint in New York City at Manhattan’s Gramercy Theatre on December 11 with Fit For A King and ‘68 providing support. The anniversary tour features The Devil Wears Prada performing their third studio album, With Roots Above and Branches Below, in its entirety for each show of the tour. The album was released in 2009 via Ferret Music and sold 31,000 copies in its first week, marking the band’s most successful album at the time. The album charted at number 11 on Billboard 100 and peaked at number one on Billboard’s Top Independent Albums, Top Hard Rock Albums, and Christian Albums charts.
The Devil Wears Prada have become a household name in the metalcore and hard rock universe in their over 10-year career and their six full-length album discography. They’ve also released two EPs and have had sixteen singles. Along with the announcement of the second leg of their tour, they have announced their signing to Solid State Records. This follows their former labels, Ferret Music who they released two LPs with, Roadrunner Records who released one LP, and Rise Records who they released three LPs with. Their most recent album, Transit Blues, dropped in 2016 and was the first album released without their original drummer, Daniel Williams. The anniversary show for With Roots Above and Branches Below comes at a fitting time for The Devil Wears Prada, on the cusp of new music with a new label and allows for reflection on one of their most influential albums.
