The annual music and skateboarding party thrown by Thrasher Magazine in Austin comes to Queens this weekend with an impressive lineup. The shows take place October 5 and 6 at the Knockdown Center in Maspeth, Queens. Rap legend and Wu-Tang member GZA is scheduled to headline Friday night with performances from Roc Marciano, Tommy Genesis, City Morgue, MIKE, Priests, Hank Wood and the Hammerheads, Dirty Fences, and Easy during the day. New York-based hardcore punk rockers Gorilla Biscuits will headline on Saturday with Incendiary, Negative Approach, Culture Abuse, Fury, Warthog, Gouge Away, Praise, Death Bells, and Weeping Icon making up the bill for the day. The only thing to make such stacked lineups even better is that the shows are free of charge with RSVP and open to all ages.

Thrasher Magazine has thrown their annual music and skateboarding party since 2010 in its usual setting of Austin, Texas. Traditionally, the event is thrown during SXSW and has become a much-anticipated staple over the past eight years. This year marks the first time the party will be brought to the East Coast. Thrasher Magazine will team up with Vans who are co-presenting the event. The event fuses skateboarding and music into all day extravaganzas, bringing together artists, music fans, and skateboarders. As with the Austin Death Match, the New York Death Match remains free to attend and will include a ramp that is open to all to skate. Death Match has typically leaned toward a wide range of music in the punk, metal, and hip-hop genres and no doubt is sticking with what they do best for their lineup in Queens. East Coasters can now join in on the party to skate, drink, and party with an amazing roster of artists for two full days this weekend.
