Author and Punisher Premieres New Song “Ode to Bedlam” Off New Album Beastland Out Next Week

The new single from Author and Punisher‘s most recent album Beastland has just been unveiled and it is thrilling example of everything the sole artist behind Author and Punisher, Tristan Shone contributes to the doom metal genre.  Created by Shone’s self-designed and custom made machinery as opposed to traditional instrumentals or digital sounds, “Ode to Bedlam” is haunting and chaotic.  The song has been premiered just before the release of Beastland, set for October 5, 2018.  Author and Punisher is currently on an international tour promoting the album.

Originally a mechanical engineer from Boston, Shone moved to San Diego to pursue art where he developed a passion for sculpture and design at the University of California.  Author and Punisher’s style was developed by combining Shone’s engineering experience with creative design and fabrication, producing the strange and mechanical music.

As a student at the University of Pittsburgh, I joined the team at MXDWN as an intern writing music news. I love exploring and discovering new artists and promoting their music to my readers.
