Buffalo Tree Festival, Half Music Festival Half Democratic Party Rally Announces First Ever 2018 Lineup Featuring Spoon, The Polyphonic Spree and Sarah Jaffe

The inaugural Buffalo Tree festival is just one month away from making its grand debut at the Main Street Garden in Downtown Dallas, Texas. The first ever festival will occur on the Sunday of October 7th and will be presented by the Homegrown Festival in partnership with Dylan Silvers, the guitarist of The Polyphonic Spree as well as the Dallas County Democratic Party.

Some of the musical headliners of the festival include Spoon, The Polyphonic Spree, Bobby Sessions, Sarah Jaffe, and Sparta. Not only will the festival be filled with music acts but it will also include a booth where attendees can register to vote as well as stands for food and drinks, roaming mariachi bands and much more. Scattered throughout the festival will be appearances by Texas Democratic candidates including 2018 Senate Candidate Beto O’Rourke, Colin Allred (Congress in Texas’ 32nd district), Lupe Valdez (2018 Democratic nominee for Governor of Texas), and Kim Olson (2018 Democratic Candidate for Texas Commissioner of Agriculture). In the coming weeks, even more, artists and speakers are expected to be announced.

Voting Registration is open on site during the festival and will continue to be open until October 9th, which is the last day to register to vote in Texas. So for those who are still undecided and have yet to register, don’t forget.

Dylan Silvers, the creator of Buffalo Tree says ”this event is not about just one concert. We want to inspire people to take action all the way to the voting booth on November 6th.” Inspire and encourage people to take action is one of the festival’s main purpose and judging from the non-profits and affiliations that will be on site during the event, they are not joking. Some of those organizations include Moms Demand Action, Coalition of Black Democrats, Next Generation League of Progressive Voters, Angie’s List, Human Rights Campaign.

Those who wish to attend the first ever event, tickets are available to purchase by clicking here. For anyone under the under of 18 can be admitted for free. The festival will be an all-day event starting at 12 and going until 10 pm.
