Dispatch Announces A Series of Intimate Acoustic Winter 2018 Tour Dates

Dispatch will host a series of special, intimate acoustic shows this winter. Location 13 will be released on November 16th. Raye Zaragoza will open the show on all dates. The band has also released the official video for the powerful single “Letter To Lady J.“

The song is a rallying cry to Lady Justice addressing a grim and broken system, but with an uplifting and poignant melody. “Letter to Lady J” is just one release in a series of songs culminating in Location 13 – a special collection of music available on November 16th.

According to the band, “We’ve been rolling out songs from Location 13 since the beginning of the summer, and we’ve still got a few more to go, but we’ve launched pre-orders for the vinyl LP today. For those of you who haven’t been following along, Location 13 is a collection of 11 songs written and recorded during the America, Location 12 sessions and this past winter. Think of them as additional stories. One of those stories, “Letter To Lady J,” just came out today. Some of you may have heard it on the Colorado Live EP that we posted on our website last month.”

“It’s always been important to us as a band to take a stand on social and political concerns,” says Francis. “Now, it felt like this sense of activism seeped into the songs in ways they never had before. We couldn’t ignore everything that was bubbling around us.” But in true Dispatch fashion, they made sure to release a first single, “Only The Wild Ones,” that is focused not on fight, but on freedom. Set to a rhythmic, African-inspired groove, it’s a song with a nod to one of Jack Kerouac’s signature passages from On the Road and praises those who barrel through each day with an unbounded quest for joy and truth.

Kelly Tucker: Originally from Los Angeles, I grew up listening to all types of music. My first concert was Aerosmith with Skid Row, then moved on to concerts with Metallica, Lollapalooza, Guns N’ Roses, Soundgarden and more. One of my favorite shows of all time was when I was in college and someone took me to see the Allman Brothers play. I also scalped a ticket to see Pearl Jam and the amazing Eddie Vedder sing his heart out. My professional career started in 2000 at Nielsen Business Media where I was an assistant in a sales department and later got promoted to advertising account executive. When the recession hit in 2008 and the magazine was sold, I took a job at a call center and later got promoted to assistant to the CEO and COO of a global company. In 2017, I took a position at a pharmaceutical agency, and now currently responsible for coordinating meeting logistics for physicians and pharma reps throughout the United States. In my spare time, I work at Peace4Kids a non-profit in South Los Angeles and write screenplays in hopes to make a breakthrough.
