Soulfly Shares New Song “Dead Behind the Eyes” Featuring Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe

According to The PRP, groove metal band Soulfly have shared their new song “Dead Behind The Eyes” featuring Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe. The new single is off their forthcoming album Ritual and is inspired by Clive Barker’s Hellraiser. Listen to the single below.

Ritual is scheduled for release on October 19th and earlier this month Soulfly released the album’s title track and its accompanying video. “Dead Behind the Eyes” was written by Soulfly frontman Max Cavalera with Randy Blythe providing vocals for the track. According to Consequence of Sound, Cavalera drew inspiration for the vocals from his days with Sepultura and the lyrics were inspired by the Cenobites, from Clive Barker’s Hellraiser franchise.

Lamb of God, led by frontman Randy Blythe recently released an album of covers titled, Legion:XX. Included on the album is a cover of Ministry’s “Jesus Built My Hotrod.” When Blythe joined the band in 1995 they still went by the name Burn the Priest and later changed their name to Lamb of God. Legion : XX was recorded under the band’s original name, Burn the Priest and is the second album recorded under their former name.
