Robert Pollard Announces Sprawling New 69-Track Cash Rivers and The Sinners Album Do Not Try to Adjust Your Set I Am The Horizontal and the Vertical for October 2018 Release

Cash Rivers and The Sinners is the semi-parody country western band of Guided by Voices’ Robert Pollard. Today, the band has announced a new release, and it’s a doozy. Sprawling out over 69 tracks and purportedly touching on genres like “country, western, country & western,” pop, punk, metal, reggae, children’s, hip-hop, disco, swing and more more, the record will be released on October 26 through Pollard’s own Rockathon Records. The physical release will feature the 69 tracks on double vinyl.

Pollard’s main project, Guided by Voices were recently the top billed act at the Athens Pop Festival, alongside notable acts like Ex-Hex, The Mummies, Man or Astroman? and a whole host of relatively unknown punk and alternative acts. They released a new album in 2018, Space Gun, which was preceded by 2017’s August By Cake and Pollard’s solo album, 2016’s Of Course You Are.
