Preoccupations, formerly known as Viet Cong released their third studio album, New Material earlier this year. The band features members Matt Flegel (vocals, bass), Scott Munro (guitar, synth), Daniel Christiansen (guitar) and Mike Wallace (drums). The record, New Material, features 8 tracks and according to mxdwn, draws “influence from the best post-punk bands before them, the group has created an album that effectively uses the techniques of their past and applied them to the present.”
Protomartyr has spent these last few years releasing new material keeping their fans busy streaming new material. The band, which features members Joe Casey on vocals, Greg Ahee on guitar, Alex Leonard on drums, Scott Davidson on bass guitar, unleashed this summer an Ep called Consolation and Relatives in Descent, which was released last year, both records were released via Domino Recording Co.
Rattle, a rock group from Germany will support Preoccupations and Protomartyr on their upcoming tour including performing at the Brooklyn show. This will mark the band’s first time in North America. Rattle will release their new album, Sequence November via Upset the Rhythm.
