The Hopeless team is small but it’s made up of some of the best people in the industry, and they’ve worked to make us one of the top 50 labels in the US. We love what we do and we never forget who we do it for: the fans. What sets us apart is at the end of the day, though, is that we’re fans too. Yup, we’re Hopeless, but we’re not gonna let that stop us.”

In an article in Creative Startups, the founder and President, Louis Posen of Hopeless Records has been named the “Paul Newman of Punk Rock” by Business Week for his commitment to social entrepreneurship.

On the launch of Songs That Saved My Life, label founder and President Louis Posen remarks, “Many of us became passionate about music, not just because it made us feel good in good times, but because of how it got us through tough times. Songs That Saved My Life is an ongoing project of our non-profit organization, Sub City, with a goal to recognize and use the power of music to break down the stigma associated with talking about mental health and to end the suffering of our loved ones.”

“We are very excited about this inaugural Songs That Saved My Life compilation. We are forever grateful to all of the bands on the compilation for being the first artists to be involved in the project, and for their courage to talk about how music helped them during difficult moments. Kelly Tucker: Originally from Los Angeles, I grew up listening to all types of music. My first concert was Aerosmith with Skid Row, then moved on to concerts with Metallica, Lollapalooza, Guns N’ Roses, Soundgarden and more. One of my favorite shows of all time was when I was in college and someone took me to see the Allman Brothers play. I also scalped a ticket to see Pearl Jam and the amazing Eddie Vedder sing his heart out. My professional career started in 2000 at Nielsen Business Media where I was an assistant in a sales department and later got promoted to advertising account executive. When the recession hit in 2008 and the magazine was sold, I took a job at a call center and later got promoted to assistant to the CEO and COO of a global company. In 2017, I took a position at a pharmaceutical agency, and now currently responsible for coordinating meeting logistics for physicians and pharma reps throughout the United States. In my spare time, I work at Peace4Kids a non-profit in South Los Angeles and write screenplays in hopes to make a breakthrough.
