Bishop Briggs Shares Music Video for New Single “Baby”

Bishop Briggs is at it again, and this time it is a new single and music video for the track “Baby.” The video is a brilliant black and white cartoon featuring a man and a woman driving down a nighttime desert road possibly during an apocalypse. The boy brings out a cartoon joint that the two start smoking, which brings about a beautiful set of colors. As the video moves forwards, so does the color. The black and white become less and less until color is the main focus, bringing about a dreamland full of teddy bears, ice cream cones, rainbow eyes and demons.

The song itself is a beautiful messy lovesong about Briggs cartoon boyfriend. This love song, unlike the slew of others in the world, is perfect. It is a song that doesn’t put a loved one on some unreachable pedestal, but instead talks about even though he is human and has bad habits, she’s still her love. Regardless of his messy bits, her love for him is strong and that’s what makes this song so great. It appreciates the human for who they are, not for who the partner wants them to be. Check out the incredible song and video below.

Jeremy Bacharach: Born in Los Angeles, CA, Jeremy has always been a lover of music. After graduating Hamilton High School with a focus in technical theatre, Jeremy ventured forth to Portland, Oregon so as to study at Lewis and Clark College. After bouncing around majors, he decided to focus on music composition and theory for the purpose of understanding why he loves what he loves. Aside from his major studies in composition, Jeremy also partook in sutdying Jazz Guitar, choir, and piano for the pure joy (and the requirements). Being able to write about what has become the main focus in his life only brings more joy to Jeremy as he is extrmely grateful to be a part of mxdwn!
