Melvins and Al Cisneros, from the band Sleep, are collaborating on a new 10” EP titled Sabbath. According to Brooklyn Vegan, the Melvins are aunctioning off one of the EP’s test pressings on eBay. The band posted a link with the following description:
“ Up for auction is a rare Test Pressing for upcoming Amphetamine Reptile’s release of the Melvins Sabbath 10”
2 tracks total with Al Cisneros of Sleep joining the Melvins. The record itself is basic black vinyl with simply ‘side A’ printed on one side and ‘Melvins Sabbath 1/10’ handwritten on the other. Comes in the plastic sleeve from pirates Press with a sticker adhered to it with the Amphetamine Reptile catalog #, band name, title, pressing plant, country of manufacture and som barcodes.
The sleeve has the artwork of HAZE XXL & with 2 hand-pulled lino-cut prints that were printed torn & mounted by HAZE himself. He has also written in pencil, the words, Melvins “Sabbath” on the front & Test Pressing 1/10 on the back.
Only 10 of these exist & this is #1 in the edition. “

With a career that spans over three decades, the Melvins have released nearly that many albums and have collaborated with several musicians including Jello Biafra. Their latest album, Pinkus Abortion Technician came out in April.
Sleep released their fourth album, The Sciences, on April 20th.
