Bun B, the rapper from Houston started out with Underground Kings but later went solo and released albums, Trill (2005), II Trill (2008), Trill OG (2010), Trill OG: The Epilogue (2013) and his newest release, Return of the Trill (2018).
The new single, “Myself” featuring Run The Jewels inspires one to focus and take personal responsibility. With lyrics like, “I got to pay my dues, I got to hold my own, I got to right my wrongs, I got to help myself.” This song possesses low down, gritty underground rhythm which sounds uniquely different than other songs in the same vein. The album features various artists, including Lil Wayne, 2 Chainz, Big K.R.I.T and Run the Jewels.

Bernard Freeman (Bun B) was born on March 19, 1973 in Port Arthur, Texas. In 2003, he married Angela Walls and has two stepchildren and one step-grandchild. His stepson is American rapper, Young B who is a member of the rap group, Youngest N Charge, which is Bun B’s opening act.
He is a distinguished lecturer at Rice University and well renowned foodie in Houston.
