‘A Star is Born’ Soundtrack to Release October 2018 Featuring Songs Performed by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper

The long awaited “A Star is Born” film starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga is set to release on October 5, 2018. Like the original, released in 1976 starring Barbara Streisand and Kris Kristofferson, this movie is poised to jar your heart and tantalize your ears in the musical sense.

This film was first done in 1937 with Janet Gaynor and Fredric March, then in 1956 with Judy Garland and James Mason. Fast forward to 2018, we are ready to be rocked again by two superstars, Gaga and Cooper. The dazzling duo are set to capture the similar onscreen chemistry and magic as their predecessors.

The soundtrack features both Gaga and Cooper performing 19 songs, together and separately. Included within the soundtrack are 15 dialogue tracks capturing specific moments in the film. Cooper plays Jackson Maine a star on the verge of burnout in need of inspiration. He finds Ally, played by Gaga who is a natural talent. She becomes his muse as he takes her under his wing. They fall in love and as her career soars he becomes more self-destructive.

Cooper directs the film and wanted Gaga to be as natural as possible – free from all her makeup. She is captured in her natural beauty and raw wholesomeness, something we rarely witness in everyday life. Her voice is riveting and though she is new to acting, sources say she was advised “to truly let go” and give an all-star performance.

Streisand gives an early thumbs-up to the film, adding, “What I saw of it was very good, it’s just it feels reminiscent of mine, but they added some new things which I liked, too. … I’m sure it’ll work.”

The soundtrack includes two songs from the film’s trailer: “Maybe It’s Time” sung by Cooper and “Shallow” sung by Gaga.

Kelly Tucker: Originally from Los Angeles, I grew up listening to all types of music. My first concert was Aerosmith with Skid Row, then moved on to concerts with Metallica, Lollapalooza, Guns N’ Roses, Soundgarden and more. One of my favorite shows of all time was when I was in college and someone took me to see the Allman Brothers play. I also scalped a ticket to see Pearl Jam and the amazing Eddie Vedder sing his heart out. My professional career started in 2000 at Nielsen Business Media where I was an assistant in a sales department and later got promoted to advertising account executive. When the recession hit in 2008 and the magazine was sold, I took a job at a call center and later got promoted to assistant to the CEO and COO of a global company. In 2017, I took a position at a pharmaceutical agency, and now currently responsible for coordinating meeting logistics for physicians and pharma reps throughout the United States. In my spare time, I work at Peace4Kids a non-profit in South Los Angeles and write screenplays in hopes to make a breakthrough.
