Hamildrops week continues. Lin-Manuel Miranda has continued this exciting week dropping Hamilton related content. Following the June visual of “Boom Goes the Cannon” and “Burn”, the newest introduction of the series is “Rise Up, Wise Up, Eyes Up.”
“Boom Goes the Cannon” acted as a tribute to the late hip-hop legend Progidy of Mobb Deep. Listen to the track below:
“Burn” was an emotional track which included a visual starring Andra Day. The music video was directed by Aurora Guerro. The director was handpicked by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Ava Duvernay.
On the track, “Rise Up, Wise Up, Eyes Up”, the music duo, Ibeyi, appears, courtesy of XL Recordings Ltd. The track was produced by Trooko who remixed one of Ibeyi’s tracks, “Me Voy”, previously this year. The studio recording comes with a behind the scenes look of the recording process.
Fans are in for a treat as more Hamildrops are coming later in the year.
