Red Fang, a stoner metal band hailing from Portland, Oregon born in 2005, melting our souls with the sheer power of their energy. Now, it seems the band is taking a break from the original music in order to release their incredible hard rock cover of Tubeway Army’s “Listen to the Sirens.” Check out the music video for the cover as well as the original to see the stark differences.
Red Fang, in the video, has taken a break from their usual stoner metal cover to play an intimate and live recording of the band playing the cover in their studio rehearsal space. Under their video, the band has posted a comment, sharing the love for Gary Numan’s legendary band:
“We’ve been a fan of Tubeway Army for a long time. It was a blast to record a song of theirs with Adam Pike and equally great to make a video with Ray Gordon! I hope people get as creeped out by our version of listeListen to Sirens as the original!”
The crisp video shows the band playing along in a secluded rehearsal space all the while exploring the city of Portland, Oregon and all its glory. Red Fang’s cover of “Listen to the Sirens”is a fresh and quality take that perfectly borrows from the original without making it just another note-for-note cover. See the whole thing below.
