Liars Announces New Album Titles With The Word Fountain to Follow Up Previous Album TFCF For November 2018 Release

Liars is a hybrid Australian and American band formed in 2000 with only Angus Andrew as the constant in the group. Last year Liars released their album TFCF in the most clever of ways, releasing themed videos from February of 2017 all the way until August for the full release. This album marked the eighth in their career, but, according to their press release, They have yet to take a break.

Now, Liars has announced the upcoming release of their new album Titles With the Word Fountain, which will be large 17-track epic serving as the sequel (as they put it) to the aforementioned TFCF.

Seeing release on September 21st, Titles With the Word Fountain will come in a joint package with 2017’s TFCF in either digital or cassette format. Additionally, there will also be a limited release of a green vinyl that will see the light of day on November 2nd. This release will also be around the same time as the Liars’ first Australian tour in 2 years.

Titles with the World Fountain, surprisingly, was also recorded during the TFCF sessions, but these songs aren’t roll-overs. As singer Angus Andrew puts it, “to me it’s more like a sequel. I chose the songs that appear on TFCF based on how well they addressed the trauma of a failed creative relationship, whereas the materia on Titles With The Word Fountain is more playful despite revolving around the same sentiments.”

Alongside this news, Liars is also releasing a limited split single as part of the Famous Class’s LAMC series this September 28. The release will be a 7-inch record available in “hand-poured clear, black, and red vinyl.” The song they chose will be the Tropical Fuck Storm’s song “The Happiest Guy Around,” which features Gareth Liddlard of Drones.
