Laura Jane Grace & the Devouring Mothers Confirm November 2018 Release for Debut Album Bought to Rot and Share New Song “Apocalypse Now (& Later)”

Laura Jane Grace is most notably known as the lead singer, writer and guitarist of punk badasses Against Me!. Now, however, Grace has announced her new band Laura Jane Grace & The Devouring Mothers and their debut album Bought to Rot, which will be released on November 9th of this year. If you are as excited as I am, then check out the band’s first single “Apocalypse Now (& Later)” here.

The record will be a joint release via Grace and the record label Bloodshot Records with a pre-order here.

According to her interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, Grace’s new band and album were largely inspired by the first album she has ever owned: Full Moon Fever by Tom Petty. So, although this will mainly be a punk album, prepare for some sweeter moments reminiscent of the late and great Tom Petty.

The new single “Apocalypse Now (& Later)” is an acoustic punk anthem full of love for humans, perfectly dirty guitar, and an energy only achievable by someone as amazing as Laura Jane Grace.

Laura Jane Grace & The Devouring Mothers consist of members Laura Jane Grace, Atom Willard, and Marc Jacob Hudson. Check out their small tour list for November as well as their track list for Bought to Rot below.
