The Wrecks have announced a new headlining tour this November, dubbed the Panic Vertigo Tour, and will be joined by Badflower and Deal Casino. The tour is in support of their EP, Panic Vertigo, the first to hit the airwaves since the blow up of their single, “Favorite Liar,” which was featured on their debut EP. Since forming in late 2015, The Wrecks have been doggedly putting their name and music out into the world. Through a devout street team and grass roots promotion at concerts and festivals, the band’s music has found rave reception and has resulted in impressive touring stints. Since their formation, The Wrecks have supported Nothing But Thieves, New Politics, All Time Low, The Maine, and The Hunna on tour. They went on to sell out dates on their 2017 fall headlining tour and performed at this year’s Lollapalooza. They also have upcoming shows in addition to their 2018 headlining tour, including a Christmas show with All Time Low and The Maine as well as a set at the inaugural Surf City Blitz in California.
The Wrecks started as a band only a couple years ago in a serendipitous fashion. They put together their first EP, We Are The Wrecks, in just three days in a studio borrowed from a friend house sitting. Despite their inexperience in professional editing and mixing, the band put together their three song EP by the grace of YouTube tutorials and enthusiastic dedication. Clearly, the effort paid off as their hit single, “Favorite Liar,” made its way to SiriusXM’s Alt Nation right away. The song was featured on the top 40 of alternative radio and sky rocketed the nascent band into the alternative scene. The Los Angeles-based rockers are excited to make a splash, eager to continue touring and recording to develop their sound as a band. They’ve cited The Strokes, The Killers, and The Vaccines as influences, bringing their high energy to both their recording and the stage.
Be sure to catch The Wrecks on their upward climb as they swing through town on November 29 at Gramercy Theatre with support from Badflower and Deal Casino. Tickets are on sale now.
