Real Friends have announced a fall tour with a stellar supporting act lineup. Pop punk favorites Boston Manor, Grayscale, and Eat Your Heart Out will join Real Friends on their 32-date cross country tour. The two month trek kicks off October 17 in Minneapolis and wraps up on November 25 in the band’s hometown of Chicago. They’ll make their way to New York City on November 18 at Irving Plaza. Real Friends spent the summer traveling through the country on the final Vans Warped Tour with Grayscale, which must have cemented the bands’ relationships as they’re embarking on another nonstop tour together. The quintet, hailing specifically from Tinley Park, Illinois, put out their third studio album, Composure, this July featuring the singles “Get By” and “From the Outside.”
Real Friends formed in 2010, dropping a few EPs before getting signed, making their first big break by joining The Wonder Years on their headlining tour and on UK Warped Tour. The band signed to pop punk favorite Fearless Records in 2013 and put out their debut album, Maybe This Place Is The Same and We’re Just Changing, in 2014. The album debuted at number 24 on the Billboard 200. Two years later, they dropped their sophomore album, The Home Inside My Head, through Fearless. Since their debut, the band has gone on three cross country Warped Tours on top of their own headlining tours. With the latest album, Composure, the band drops poignant songs, the single “From the Outside” commenting on how mental health issues are often disguised and hidden. It’s a topic that hits home for the band, especially after they decided to cancel their Australian, UK, and European tours earlier in the year so that frontman Dan Lambton could focus on his mental health and bipolar disorder. This US tour will be the band’s first headlining tour since last year, coming with high anticipation from both the band and fans.
