Prince’s Music Category From 1995-2010 Are Now Available to Stream

Today is a big day for pop music: Prince’s albums from 1995-2010 are now available to stream!

The Prince Estate and Legacy Recordings have released 23 previously unavailable tracks. The new compilation, Prince Anthology 1995-2010, is available to listen to on various streaming platforms. This features 37 hidden gems from over a dozen albums. This is the first release of an installment of digital responses from Prince’s extensive catalog.

Prince’s reign in music was a long-lived rule. As a child, Prince showed a very keen interest in music. He wrote his first song at age seven, so he was destined for the stage, for bigger and better things. He signed with Warner Bros at age 17. Prince released his first album, For You, in 1978. Then, most likely not a surprise to many, his next project, the self-titled album Prince, went platinum. His rise to stardom was a swift one.

He was paving the way for other artists in funk, dance, and rock with albums Dirty Mind (1980), Controversy (1981), and 1999 (1982). Purple Rain, the soundtrack to his film debut in 1984, quickly became his most critically acclaimed and most commercially successful release. It spent 24 consecutive weeks at the top of the Billboard 200. In addition to this, he sold over 20 million copies worldwide.
