Cattle Decapitation Singer Travis Ryan Lays into Christian Group for Laughably Co-Opting Goregrind Band’s Monolith of Inhumanity Album Cover in Creationist Meme

For some reason, very fervent religious groups seem to follow a trend of borrowing artwork and refiguring it for their own purpose, and today is no different. Apparently, noted by Loudwire a Christian group used Cattle Decapitation;s album artwork for their own creationist meme. Singer Travis Ryan was not too happy with it. The group somehow discovered Cattle Decapitation’s Monolith of Inhumanity, however, all it did was lead to consequence.

Incensed by the group’s mockery, Ryan uses one of the hefty Ten Commandments to put them in their place.

He writes:

Hi. I’m Travis. I’m the one who commissioned that art piece you stole for your dissemination of your little fairy tale. It’s by the artist Wes Benscoter. It seems, per usual, you people cannot follow your own bible. Remember “THOU SHALL NOT STEAL”? You can’t even get that one right. You are garbage. Your religion is on the top of the garbage heap of organized world religions similar to that monolith there which represents the ills of humanity. That’s you. That’s your man-made nonsense. You are thieves. You are garbage. You will always be garbage. Remember that.

Funny enough, Travis Ryan got them right in the core as the post from True Biblical Christians has been scrubbed. Monolith Of Inhumanity has been one of Cattle Decapitation’s most succesful albums, hitting multiple charts during its release. It was also voted as one of “The Best Metal Albums of 2012” on MetalSucks series.
