PVMNTS & WSTR @ Gramercy Theatre 11/04

PVMNTS and WSTR will go on a co-headlining tour this fall across the US, beginning in Los Angeles on 10/14 and culminating in Sacramento on 11/18. The tour will hit New York City on 11/04 at Gramercy Theatre with support from Hold Close. Both bands will perform in support of upcoming releases. WSTR will release their sophomore album, Identity Crisis, on 8/31 while PVMNTS has their debut EP, Better Days, releasing later this week on 8/17. From their new releases, WSTR premiered their single “Bad To The Bone” on BBC Radio 1 and their second single “Crisis” shortly after while PVMNTS has released “Chemical Trails” which is accompanied by a video.

Despite being new to the pop punk scene, PVMNTS has already garnered a devoted following. The Los Angeles-based trio features Teen Wolf star, Tyler Posey, who joins Freddy Ramirez and Nick Guzman. The band has most recently headlined a UK tour in addition to playing a set at Slam Dunk Festival and playing a handful of shows on the final Vans Warped Tour this summer. This tour will be their first full tour across the US. It took a couple years to get their feet on the ground, but PVMNTS feels ready to bring their own brand of pop punk to the forefront, already making a name for themselves with a successful summer of touring.

WSTR hails from Liverpool, joining the ranks of other UK pop punk groups that have made it big in the US in recent years such as Neck Deep, As It Is, and Boston Manor. The band signed to Hopeless Records in June, who they’ll release their second album under. After starting out in 2015, the band quickly gained popularity in the genre, signing with No Sleep Records and putting out their 2017 debut album, Red, Green Or Inbetween, before touring alongside the likes of Neck Deep and Moose Blood. Of the new album, frontman Sammy Clifford has cited a more rock-influenced sound with inspirations like The White Stripes and Arctic Monkeys, saying, “We’ve added all these different genres into our sound while keeping the WSTR roots.”
