Watch Jamey Jasta and Dino Cazares Cover Fear Factory’s “Replica” Live at Jasta And Friends Concert

Hatebreed frontman has been hitting the road solo over the last few weeks. However, “solo” might not be the best way to describe these shows, which are billed as the Jasta and Friends tour and includes guest appearances from metal royalty like Dino Cazares of Fear Factory, Kirk Windstein of Crowbar, and ex-vocalist of Killswitch Engage, Howard Jones.

“Replica” is the fourth song on Fear Factory’s landmark 1995 album, Demanufacture. The band’s second album, it was a stand-out in the world of alternative metal, with grooving riffs interspersed between moments of pure thrash, with just enough industrial darkness to set it apart.

Jasta has been working on solo material lately, with the song “13 Appears” being released earlier this year. The song features a guest appearance from Tommy Victor of long-running thrash band Prong. Before that, the deep-voiced Jones joined Jasta on another solo track of his, “Chasing Demons,” adding a melodic counterpoint to the thrashing.

A few weeks ago, Jasta appeared on stage with Ice-T and his crossover metal band Body Count. There was only one song fitting for this kind of metal meet-up, and of course it was Body Count’s iconic and controversial song “Cop Killer.”
