Jimmy Urine of Mindless Self Indulgence Announces New Project EURINGER and Self-Titled Album Featuring Grimes, Serj Tankian and More for September 2018 Release

Jimmy Urine, the leader of experimental electronic group Mindless Self Indulgence has announced a new project called EURINGER. This new musical outlet for the influential musician will see its debut LP released in just a few weeks, on September 7, 2018. The self-titled record looks to be one of the more anticipated releases of the year, with guest features from artists like System of a Down singer Serj Tankian, electro-pop wunderkind Grimes, My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way, and Chantel Claret of Morningwood (who is also his wife).

The first song to be released from the album is “Problematic.” The song is a laid-back electronic-infused track with a shout-along chorus, and just a little bit of a hip-hop influence. The record also includes a Kate Bush cover, “Wuthering Heights,” and a Doobie Brothers cover, “What A Fool Believes.” Jimmy Urine last released The Secret Cinematic Sounds of Jimmy Urine in 2017. Strangely, a press release states that this record and project is “a counter-culture, surreal, psychedelic, art house, avant-garde, possibly posthumous concept.”
