DJ Muggs shares new video for song, “Assassination Day (Trust No One). The song also features MF Doom. Watch the video below:
The animated new video is black and white animation. The opening scene is a black screen with the words, “Los Angeles 2020” and a man getting ready, buttoning up his shirt. The music video portrays images of protestors holding up signs that say, “Keep America Great 2020.” This video has strong political themes, insinuating a continuation of Donald Trump’s ideas and campaign.
The video portrays Kanye as the president in 2020. The political, social, and economic unrest is still not over as someone in the crowd steps up to assassinate the president.
The assassin travels around under the guise of Leon’s Cleaning Services, leaving the viewer wondering what he is really cleaning. A sniper waits in the building across the street. This is a replay of Kennedy’s assassination, a dark image indeed. The music video then pans to a news show and the reporter discussing what happened. While Donald Trump, alive, laughs at the victim.
The song, along with the video, is making a big statement.
