The American alternative rock band, The Breeders, have just announced a string of new live dates to support their latest album, All The Nerve, according to Pitchfork. They are wrapping up their summer tour this weekend with the free BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! show this Saturday, August 11th in Prospect Park with Speedy Ortiz. The alt-rock band, which consists of Kim and Kelley Deal, Josephine Wiggs and Jim Macpherson, will hit the road again starting on October 27th in Pioneertown, California.
Their North American run will see the band performing in cities such as Baltimore, Brooklyn, Oklahoma City, Austin, Atlanta, Portland before closing in Cleveland on November 11th. After their North American run; they will kick off their European leg of their tour beginning in November. Scroll down for the Breeders complete itinerary. All The Nerve is The Breeders first album in almost a decade, and it’s their first since their 1993 breakout Last Splash, which included singles “Cannonball,” and “Divine Hammer” to include the band’s original lineup. The latest album features the band’s latest single, “Nervous Mary.”
Today, The Breeders have released their “homemade” video they have created for the song that features puppets of Kim and Kelley Deal. Finnish puppeteer Milla Risku made the puppets that were featured in the video. The video is creative in its simplicity. All the visuals are just the puppets themselves moving through the streets rocking out to their song with the lights behind them telling them to stop and go as they please. In today’s “in your face” music videos, The Breeder’s “Nervous Mary” is a nice change of pace and unique just the band.
