Korn frontman Jonathan Davis has announced a new series of solo tour dates for this fall, as reported by The PRP. Davis is currently touring in support of his first ever solo album, Black Labyrinth (check out his interview with mxdwn here), which has received high praise from the metal and rock community. Davis just wrapped up highly successful world tour this summer, and he will be looking to build upon that momentum this fall. The Birthday Massacre and Julien-K will be the openers for most of the dates.
While many fans may know of Davis from his time fronting Korn, this year he has shown that he can hold his own on stage with just his solo material. With some of the most impressive vocal chops of any singer in metal, Davis and his band will be bringing the fire on every night of this tour.
Korn will be taking a break from any large-scale tours this year, but the band will still be performing a few select dates to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough album Follow the Leader. That record helped usher in the era of Nu-Metal with its furious 7-string guitar riffs and elastic vocal stylings. After many years apart, Korn reunited with lead guitarist Brian “Head” Welch few years back which has resulted in some excellent releases such as The Serenity of Suffering.
