Police Close Case on Las Vegas Shooting Massacre without Finding Cause, Conspiracy or Second Shooter

A little less than a year after one of the country’s most devastating shootings in recent memory, the Las Vegas Police Department has closed their investigation into the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting. The massacre left over 50 people dead, hundreds injured and countless thousands to recover from the trauma of the moment. Today, police have closed their case on the shooting, finding no cause for Stephen Paddock to kill dozens of people, including no evidence of a conspiracy or even a second shooter (both popular talking points on conspiracy theory websites).

According to police records, Paddock clearly acted alone when he began shooting indiscriminately from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel. Particularly notable is the finding that there was “no evidence of radicalization or ideology to support any theory that Paddock supported or followed any hate group or any domestic or foreign terrorist organization.”

It’s worth noting that Paddock also appeared to target a few other much more popular music festivals. He rented a room in Chicago overlooking Lollapalooza and also in Las Vegas with views of Life is Beautiful Festival.

Stephen Paddock, the perpetrator of these horrendous criminal act, is dead. He died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after he committed the horrible crime at Route 91 Festival.
